    Project management

Implementation of a project management tool

    Initial situation

The Microsoft Project Server solution was in place, but lacked integration into the information system.

A lack of availability of in-house staff and of certain skills meant that the project could not be carried out in-house in time.

    Choice of BS-Team

BS-Team’s mastery of the entire Microsoft ecosystem made it the ideal partner.
The scope of this project included Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft SharePoint, Nintex Workflow, SSIS integration and SSRS and SSAS reporting tools.

Choosing a local partner for its proximity and responsiveness was also an important aspect.

    Project realization

The partnership with BS-Team proved fruitful, as in addition to perfectly mastered technical skills, the projects were taken in hand completely, both for the technical part and with the business teams.

As the specifications were not fully written, the agile approach was very beneficial.
For this, proximity and availability were essential.

All project start-up and validation processes were automated, and collaborative site templates were created according to project type.
All project and follow-up information was then centralized in a data warehouse.
Project and financial data (from the ERP) were aggregated and prepared in an OLAP cube, and presented in various SSRS Dashboards.

    End of project

This project was carried out with an in-house PMO and the BS-Team.

All targets have been met, with around 200 people using the solution.

A knowledge transfer took place at the end of the project to enable the administration of the environment in particular.

BS-Team continues to evolve the solution as organizations and processes change.

BS-Team proved to be the ideal partner with whom many other projects were subsequently carried out.
